Attention! All Curcuma Products Are Not Equal!

Frequently, curcuma products available on the market are contaminated.

Curcumin, the most important ingredient of curcuma, is very valuable, but now it also can be produced synthetically. Often some percentage of natural curcumin is mixed with a considerable amount of artificially produced curcumin, so as to disguise the non-natural origin of the synthetic materials. One can only be sure if a C14 analysis is available. Synthetically manufactured curcumin is considerably cheaper.

The only method to determine the naturalness of a curcuma product is the so-called isotope measurement. This is an elaborate, expensive analytical method that only a few institutes carry out. By measuring C14 carbon atoms in the material, one can determine whether components of petroleum are present: synthetic curcumin is produced from petroleum, and can be told from non-natural curcumin by this method.

Details of the composition of our product can be found in our on-line analysis certificate. You will find the product’s link to its certificate above the price. You will find further information in our blog: Attention, Artificial Curcuma on the Advance

Curcuma by Dr. Michalzik with 95 % Curcuminoiden containing up to 30 - 40 times Curcumin than a simple Curcuma-powder. Simple turmeric powder contains about 1 - 3 % Curcumin. The curcumin content of our 90 capsules then corresponds to the curcumin content of approximately 2,700 capsules (30 x 90) a non-concentrated product. This is also the reason why these are offered supposedly low.

Turmeric and Curcuma longa are synonymous terms; they both contain the vital substance curcumin.

Bioavailability of curcumin is greatly increased by using piper nigrum extract (piperine content higher than 95 %). With an improved bioavailability of 2,000 %, 440 mg of our curcuma extract is equivalent to the 8,800 mg of curcuma extract per capsule which would have to be consumed in order to have the same bioavailable amount.

On BR3 Television, curcuma was introduced and our product shown, have you seen it yet?

Our product fulfills the highest demands, such as a high curcuminoid content (95 %) and a high piperine content (95 % of black pepper extract).

"I have successfully used this quality for many years."

Made in Germany

Curcuma Piperine by Dr. Michalzik is subject to strict examinations of German supervisory authorities. It is manufactured by use of gentle production technologies without heat or additives in the capsule filling and without the use of processing agents which are not required to be mentioned on the packaging.

No industrially produced silicic acid (silicon dioxide) flow aid.
Biotikon does not use silicon dioxide or silicic acid (SiO₂, known as E551) as a flow aid. The foundation for product testing "Stiftung Warentest" states that those may contain nanoparticles. Silicic acid or silicon dioxide in dietary supplements has been discouraged. Bio Suisse has terminated approval of silica or silicon dioxide. Silica from horsetail is not to be confused with this industrially produced silica.

No Aluminum Contained
A large number of nutritional supplement providers use aluminum as a sealant for cans. During the sealing process an aluminum foil is strongly heated by a high frequency electromagnetic field. We deliberately do not use this method!

Without talcum!
The release agent and lubricant talcum which is used for manufacturing of tablets or capsules can contain asbestos fibers. Biotikon completely dispenses with the use of release agents and lubricants in their capsule production.

Fresh Products!
From the date of sale all of our products have a long lasting shelf life. This is possible because we process in house.

Food Safety HACCP
Biotikon products are manufactured in accordance with legal requirements and in compliance with the HACCP concept in order to ensure food safety.

Appropriate scientific studies were conducted with Piperine accomplished.

Influence of Piperine on the Pharmacokinetics of Curcumin in Animals and Human Volunteers. - Summary:
The natural properties of Curcuma longa - obtained from curcumin - cannot be used due to its poor bioavailability and its fast metabolism in the liver and intestine wall.

This study investigated the effect of combining piperine (95% alkaloids) with curcumin, a known inhibitor of glucuronidation in the liver and intestine, on the bioavailability of curcumin in healthy test persons.
